About JSUBS
**To be revised…**
The Jackson State University Biological Society’s s mission is to promote and provide non-pre-health students with professional preparation; guidance in seeking research experiences, internships, field-courses, or field opportunities; increasing environmental consciousness within the University, the city of Jackson, and beyond through special presentations, activities, and celebrations; and create biology/environmentally-focused community service opportunities for the surrounding community.
Established during the fall academic session of 2017 with endorsement from JSU’s Biology department chair Dr. Timothy Turner and assistant professor Dr. Brent Thoma on a strong foundation of student support, the society hopes to become virtually student driven.
